Another commercial
success for CDM:
Acciaio 130 Sold
An Acciaio 130 - third unit of the acciaio series - has been sold to a european owner.
In these last few months an impressive number of CdM’s
explorer yachts have been sold, the most recent being an
Acciaio 130, the third unit of a semi-custom series with design
and naval architecture by Sergio Cutolo/Hydro Tec (the two
previous units are Acciaio 105 Gatto and Acciaio 123 Astrum).
“We are delighted with the client’s strong interest in this
design which brought to a high level of customization and
interesting features,” says Vasco Buonpensiere, co-founder
and Sales & Marketing Director of CdM. “Acciaio 130 will
be a purposeful passagemaker tailored to the exacting
requirements of her owner for long range cruising. The client
has been introduced by Jonacor Marine and in the light of the
high level of professionalism of all parts involved we are sure
that the construction of this beautiful vessel will represent a
great experience for us all.”
The Acciaio 130 features an imposing and flared bow to
intercept high seas with the sheer line that smoothly flows
down creating a sophisticated yachting style. This flowing
feature is replicated in the fashion plates that effortlessly
glide to the main, upper and sun deck from above framing
signature strip windows. The yacht will often sail at high
latitudes for both exploration and fishing expeditions. To
enjoy fully long and challenging fishing trips, the Owner
asked to have the yacht designed with a fishing cockpit, a
stern platform enclosed within high bulwark, and all fishing
equipment will be stored in a large lazarette. The layout has
been designed to meet the Owner way of living on board: there
will be two Owner staterooms, one on the Main deck forward
and a second full beam suite on the Lower deck amidship. Two
guest cabins will be available on the Lower deck. Among the
Acciaio 130’s layout peculiarities worth a mention a 30 square
metres gym on the Upper deck and a Skylounge on the Sun
deck to enjoy the view while comfortable sitting inside. At
39.42m, with a beam of 8m and a displacement of around 388t
Acciaio 130 has an extremely efficient hull with bulbous bow
to keep fuel consumption to the lowest levels while granting
an extraordinary range. Two Caterpillar C18 delivering 533kW
each will allow for a top speed of 13.5 knots and a range, at
10 knots, of above 5000nm.
The client is very knowledgeable
and technical-savvy and his visit to the Cantiere delle Marche
facilities proved to be fundamental for the choice of the
shipyard,” says Carlo Aquilanti, Sales Manager of Cantiere
delle Marche. “He found the craftmanship off all the workers
to the highest standard and was impressed by the quality of
materials, manufacturing and processes throughout all the
steps of the build process.”
